For those of you tuning in late: Finished Webbittown stock certificates are piling up. All of the shares were now in the hands of one artist or another and all that remains is for the remaining shares to get back to headquarters so that marketing can begin. Cutoff date for tardy artists has been set to 3/10, meaning any artist who has not turned in their completed share will lose their spot on the roster. Webbittown F2F's continued at The Pink Pony on Monday nights from 9 PM to 2 AM.
Red Ed with outsourcing staff at Kickstart Wall St. LaunchThe spectacular entrance at 17 Battery Place the entrance to KickStart Wall Street
KickStart - Wall Street: KickStart is part incubator/part venture boutique. They have offices on 34th Street, and have new offices on Wall Street. KickStart has created a unique area for start-ups that involves outsourcing virtually every function that a startup needs rather than keep it in-house. We liked KickStart from the beginning and hope that KickStart Wall Street likes us.

In as much as we are about stock certificate iconification, this is an ideal area for us to heaquarter out of. The space itself used to be for "Series 7" classes for stockbrokers to become licensed for trading. It is fitting that we might wind up there. Stay tuned to further developments on the Kickstart scene.

At KickStart Wall Street we met some connectivity vendors, an office furniture vendor, a 'Rule 144' specialist, the art director of French magazine Libertie and the organizers themselves. We realized that the organizers of this sort of kick-off party were sorely in need of art on the walls. 72 hours notice and we could have masterpieces all over the walls.

Toy Fair: Licensing related to Lord of the Rings, the movie, was one of the major activities evident at Toy Fair. Red Ed was also intent on being a part of the action around Survivor Rudy's action figure and has some photos of the new 'military aspirational figure'. As Webbittown Corporation CEO, he also pursued many branding opportunities for Webbittown with big names like Duncan Yo-Yo, Puz-3D and the Premiere Ribbon Maker.

Missing coverage from Silicon Alley 2001
Silicon Alley 2001: 135 West 18th Street was the crime of the scene. Sparks flew at the registration area at Silicon Alley 2001. We would have loved to have given you coverage of Jim Rogers and Scott Kurnit of Primedia, James J. Cramer (#9 an affiliated writer) and the venture capital roundtable that summed it all up. But someone handed us ten million dollars and we had to go spend it.

The Sunday Dinner Spread w/Gecko at Collective UnconsciousMiss Eve and two constestants at Sunday Dinner 2/25/01

Gecko: KatKitty(#99) is working on a piece with the working title of The Fracture Points of Rage. Her piece explores how energy, whether psychic, social, monetary, sexual or physical, gets collected into streams that grow in intensity until a breaking point is reached. In the animated gif above, a live lobster is being cooked by the energy of a Tesla coil discharge. The charred bit of lobster where the plasma streamer becomes most intense could be part of her work. This scene was the climax of the Sunday Dinner with Gecko performance at the Collective Unconscious. The performance itself  plays on regressive associations of food, sexuality, and ritual. In typical Gecko(#50) fashion, intimate audience participation is demanded. We also want to congratulate the Collective's C.V.R. performance for winning one of the Absolute Angel awards.

C.V.R. winner check the from Absolute Angel competition. Congratulations!
