It might be just as well that we aren't on our way to Pennsylvania
this weekend, to cover the outdoor Lama Farm rock show. We found ourselves
a stamp of the ArtCall mascot the giraffe, chosen because we always have
to stick our necks out and a giraffe is tall enough up to see the warning
signs. Currently, we have over three days of downtime
to recover from and we are rocked that so few redesigned shares have been
turned in. (All the ArtCall artists should expect visits shortly.) There
are a ton of pictures from the end of July that haven't made it into any
diary entries, including over twelve disks of material from the Asylum
of the Deranged.. KatKitty has been working on a slideshow for the Webbittown
Web Site for this worthwhile performance. This slideshow will be bigger
than the Red Spot Outdoor Slide Theater and will include many amazing photos
of perversion and peppy spirit. So with this and the other missing coverage
of art openings, performances, bounced check maladies, missing key mysteries,
half started but never finished ArtCall's (which may wind up coming into
the archive as a backdated entry), it is now time to proceed to this entries'
agenda. I'll endeavor to catch up in the next 24 hours or so, as that is
how long it takes to make a major issue such as this one.

As we hung out on the stoop in Soho, Richard West (Richie Rich) stopped
for a gabfest with Richard Gins. The gossip was so good we were late for
Hammerbrain at the Continental. Calmx dropped and we walked up to the East
Village for iced coffees at alt.coffee. Ray finally had a meeting with
his landlord. He has been put on a month-to-month deathwatch, with an eviction
likely this winter. A sad but inevitable sign of the times on Avenue A,
now that even Avenue C is considered tame (safe for the tourists). I guess
Avenue D is next. I wonder how long it will take for a railroad car flat
to actually go for five grand, unimproved? Do they charge extra for rat
infestation Keep your ear to the ground for just when they lower
the axe on Rays, on a cold and unsuspecting day.

As
Calmx and I walked up Lafayette, we happened across this interestingly
titled flag. I have no idea what they sell in the store. Maybe it's all
full of A list model types. We continued up Layfayette, past the Absolut
New York billboard. The billboard was a mock up of an apartment in the
shape of an Absolut bottle, an apartment bigger than headquarters (sigh.)
I was envious, the bottle had a real bathroom and kitchen. We headed up
to Danal restaurant on 10th Street for a dinner committee meeting with
Heidi Follin and Paul Kostabi. Dinner in Danal's garden was a wonderful
idea on such a warm night. Danal serves fantastic seafood, steak and vegetarian
fare.

Next Issue: Medical Record Department, (a preview) and we are over the 65% out mark.
